Word documents and AI

Send Word documents for signature without tagging them.

Send Word documents for signature the way they are. Attach the file in SignDeck's built-in AI assistant and it becomes a template, with signature, initials and date blocks already placed for your signer and your company. After that, ask the assistant to send it.

From a Word file to a signed copy

  1. Step 1Attach the file

Attach a Word document or a PDF in the AI assistant and ask it to set it up for signing.

  2. Step 2Blocks are placed for you

A Word file becomes a template with signature, initials and date blocks. A PDF keeps its layout, and the assistant places boxes on the signature and date lines printed in it.

  3. Step 3Check it once

Open the template once in SignDeck to check the layout and move anything that is off.

  4. Step 4Ask it to send

Tell the assistant who signs. It prepares the request, and it goes out only when you confirm.

Why teams use it

No tags to type

You never type field codes or tags into your document. The blocks are added for you.

No fields to drag

For a PDF, the assistant reads the signature, initials and date lines and puts the boxes there.

Your layout kept

A PDF stays exactly as it is. Only the signing boxes are added.

You stay in control

Nothing is sent until you say so, and you can check every box before it goes.

Reuse it every time

Once a document is set up, it is a template you can send again whenever you need it.

Same signing and record

Signers get the same SignDeck signing page, and you get the same certificate of completion.

Questions

Which files can the assistant set up?

Word documents (.docx) and PDFs, up to 10 MB. A Word file becomes an editable template; a PDF keeps its exact layout.

Does the assistant send anything on its own?

No. It prepares the request and sends it only after you confirm.

What if a box lands in the wrong place?

Open the template or the draft in SignDeck and move it before you send. Checking a new document once is the recommended step.
